About Mission in Windsor

In Windsor we are committed to taking the "Great Commission" seriously. Following a period of review of the work of the Church, four aims were formulated. These included that we should be a Church "Going... a base for workers in world mission."

We believe, just as the mission of the early church in Jerusalem was first to reach those around them in Jerusalem, and then to reach further afield, that our mission is to involve our "Jerusalem". Hence we have a number of members involved in full time Christian work locally. But we are also aware of the great needs throughout the world - correspondingly we have missionaries working in cross-cultural overseas work.

We want to encourage an interest in mission in all members, friends, and attenders of Windsor. We have a responsibility to pray and we should take this seriously, both personally and as a Church. We have a responsibility to give, and as a Church we aim to ensure that a sizeable proportion of our spending is in areas of mission or support of our missionaries.

Each of us also has a responsibility to consider the call of mission in our own lives, whether it be sharing the Gospel in our present situation or being used by God in fulltime mission work. For further information, email us.
