How can we love you?

In September we once again spent 1 week distributing indiscriminate acts of kindness in half-mile radius of the church. The flyers were distributed through 3,000 letterboxes stating...

"From 18th - 23rd Sept 2006 we are offering our services free. (Painting, Minor Decorating, Gardens, Errands, try us for anything...! No job too small...). We do this because God Loves You and We want you to know it."

There were around 20 homes which took us up on the offer. We did some grass cutting, window cleaning, gardening, shrub planting, hedge cutting, hall painting, ceiling painting, landing painting, door painting, bush cutting, getting rid of fusty smells, and slippery step washing...

About 20 jobs and about 15 volunteers spanning an age range of pre-schoolers to pensioners! Thanks to everyone who got involved, some long days and late nights were put in. Special mention needs also to be made of those who carried out the leaflet distribution. 3000 leaflets were given out on what must have been the wettest Saturday of 2006.

We have been offering this service for 1 week in September for 4 years now and we hope and pray that in some way God's name is glorified and in some small way people in the homes around Windsor can get a glimpse of His Love.
