Junior Church & Teenage Bible Class Report

The year 2006 in Junior Church was like many other years. Some children entered the preschool year while others left to join the Teenage Bible Class. It was like many other years with some teachers moving on to other things and new ones coming in. It was like many other years welcoming some back, Luke and Lucy Marshall, and saying goodbye to others, Stephen, Johnny and Patrick Hill to Knock Presbyterian and Caleb Beattie to Africa. Yet most importantly, it was like any other year with faithful bible teaching being given weekly to our young people, pitched at a level that they can understand; like any other year, worship was led in a way relevant to them; like any other year, teachers served as role models; like any other year, children deepened friendships with teachers and their peers.

This opportunity to teach Windsor children “like in any other year” is not taken for granted. It is so important to have the chance to build consistently, year-on-year the teaching and the relationships. We are grateful to God for the chance to do so. We pray that the weekly teaching of his word will result in a rich harvest in the lives of all the children. Below is a graph of the age profile of the children attending our Junior Church. They are taught by 4 teams, with 6 teachers in each team, who teach for one month at a time. The current teachers are listed in the box below.

Joanne Brown and John McLean continue to challenge and stretch our teenagers. On alternate weeks the teenagers leave the service for Bible Class. On the in-between Sundays they stay in, with a teaching sheet provided for them to lead them through the service.
